***Breaking News...***
Our club has been shortlisted in the National Bowls Club of the Year Awards! We are not sure yet what category or categories we have been successful in as the judges are still deliberating.
In entering for an award, we have stressed our recruitment drives from all sections of the community, and our coaching sessions for new and less abled bowlers. We have also emphasised our status as a community asset, highlighting the many different clubs and societies that use our facilities. These include: Friends of Redcar Cemetery, Cutty Wren Folk Club, First Class Learning, Ukulele Club, Keyboard Music Club, and Crafting groups. The list grows!
Our excellent and ever improving facilities both indoor and out, things we have become accustomed to at Redcar Borough Park, also formed part of the application. Reaching the final is something we can all be proud of, perhaps we can go one step further and win an award.
Fingers crossed....
Welcome to our Bowling Club
A warm welcome to everyone visiting this site. Click here for details on how to join, and who to contact if you would like to have a look around the club. We have two outdoor greens, a large indoor bowling hall, and of course, a bar.
We are located next to Redcar Racecourse. Take the turn off Redcar Lane, at the racecourse sign, our car park is at the end of the lane. Members can play purely for fun, or they can join one of the league teams and play competitively against other clubs in the area. We encourage people of all ages to join; one of our female members is 11-years-old and she plays in the Cleveland league. Bowling is fun, and a great way to make new friends.
